Questions, answered plainly
The things people ask most before a first visit, from what a session involves to how the deposit works.
Eight things worth knowing first
What does post-operative lymphatic drainage actually involve?
Slow, manual work along the drainage pathways of the area that was treated, only where your surgeon has cleared you for therapy. Pressure and pace follow your tissue on the day rather than a fixed script, and every visit ends with a short conversation about what to expect before the next one.
When can I start after surgery?
That depends on your procedure and on what your surgeon has told you. Most people start once cleared for manual therapy, usually somewhere in the first weeks. We go through the details in person at the studio, not on a form, and if you are unsure whether you are ready, book the first visit as a check rather than a treatment.
Do I need my surgeon's clearance before I book?
Yes, within the first weeks after a procedure. Bring any aftercare notes your surgeon gave you to the first visit and we go through them there. Please do not write the type or date of your surgery into the booking form or the contact form: that conversation belongs in the studio, not in an email.
How many sessions will I need?
I will not sell you a number before I have seen the area. Scar work in particular is a series rather than one visit, and I will tell you honestly at the first appointment what a series can and cannot change. For everything else, most people book as they go and we agree the next step at the end of each session.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move in easily. Loose layers work best for most sessions, since access to the area we are working on matters more than what you have on.
What is the deposit, and can I move or cancel?
A flat €30 deposit holds the time and comes off the price on the day. A booking is for the time you chose: it cannot be moved, so pick a time you can keep. A different day means cancelling and booking again. Cancelling, or not arriving, keeps the deposit: the time was held for you and could not go to anyone else.
Do you work in Polish?
Yes, properly, not through a translated leaflet. Message me in Polish if that is easier and I will answer in it. In the studio, a session runs in whichever language suits you.
What does an online consultation cover?
A paid one to one call about a procedure you are considering abroad: what to ask the surgeon, what recovery actually looks like week by week, and what to organise before you fly. I am not a doctor, so this is not a medical opinion or a diagnosis, only six years of watching how it goes in practice.
Does it hurt?
Most of it is lighter than people expect: slow pressure, not a deep massage. Deep Tissue Recovery is the one session that goes deeper, and even then you set the limit. If anything feels wrong, say so and I stop.
Do I need to have had surgery?
No. Heavy legs, a puffy face, cellulite, tension: more than half the list is for people who have never had an operation.
What do I bring?
Anything your surgeon gave you in writing, and your compression garment if you wear one. That is it. The health form is on paper at the studio, not online.
