Terms of service

The terms that apply to every booking made on this website, in the version shown at checkout. Every version is kept and dated.

Terms of service

1. Who you are dealing with

This website and the services booked through it are provided by Gabriela Latowicka, trading as Body Recovery & Contouring Studio and Gabi Med Pro, 5 Friary Ln, Tralee, Co. Kerry, V92 CH9W, Ireland. Contact: [email protected].

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to every booking made on this website: a treatment at the studio or an online consultation. You accept them at checkout, and the version you accepted is the one that applies to your booking. It is named in your confirmation email and shown on this page.

3. The services

Treatments at the studio are manual therapy sessions. They support your comfort during recovery and general wellbeing. They are not medical care: they do not replace a diagnosis, a treatment plan or the instructions of your surgeon or doctor, whose word always comes first.

An online consultation is a one hour video call about planning surgery abroad: what to ask a surgeon, what recovery usually involves and what to arrange before you travel. It draws on experience, not on medical qualifications. It is not a medical, dental or legal opinion, it does not recommend a clinic or a procedure, and every clinical decision stays with the registered professional who treats you.

4. Booking, prices and payment

A booking is confirmed when the payment shown at checkout has been received. Payments are taken by Stripe; card details never reach this website.

For a treatment at the studio the amount paid at checkout is a deposit, shown before you pay, and it comes off the price of the session. Prices on this website are starting prices. The price of your session is agreed with you before it begins and the balance is paid at the studio.

For a consultation the amount paid at checkout is the full fee for the hour.

5. Changes and cancellation

The cancellation terms shown below these terms form part of them. They say what happens to a deposit or a fee when a booking is cancelled, when nobody arrives, and when the studio cancels.

6. Your right to cancel within 14 days

Because you book at a distance, you have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days of the booking without giving a reason. To do so, write to [email protected] before the 14 days end. Everything you paid is returned within 14 days, to the card you paid with.

If your appointment falls within those 14 days, booking it is a request for the service to start during the cancellation period. Once the session or the consultation has been given, the right to cancel it no longer applies.

7. Online consultations

The link for the call is sent to the email address you booked with. You need a device with a camera and a stable connection. Times are shown in your time zone with Irish time beside them. The call is not recorded.

8. What we ask of you

Arrive on time, and for a first visit after surgery bring your surgeon's written instructions. Anything about your health is discussed at the studio, on paper, not through this website or by message. The therapist may shorten or decline a session that would not be safe on the day; in that case the deposit is returned or moved to another date, as you prefer.

9. Liability

Services are provided with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for the outcome of surgery or treatment you receive elsewhere, or for decisions you take about it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under Irish law.

10. Your account

Bookings can be seen and cancelled from your account, which you open with a code sent to your email address. Keep that address secure. How your details are handled is set out in the privacy policy.

11. Complaints and law

Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 14 days. These terms are governed by the law of Ireland and any dispute is for the Irish courts. As a consumer you may also contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may change for future bookings. Every version is kept, dated, and the version you accepted applies to your booking.

Cancellation terms

Your deposit holds the appointment for you and comes off the price on the day. Once it is paid, that time is yours and is not offered to anyone else.

A booking is for the time you chose. It cannot be moved, so pick a time you can keep. If you need a different day, cancel and book again: a new deposit holds the new time.

Cancelling your appointment, or not arriving: the deposit is kept and is not refunded, because the time was held for you and could not be given to somebody else.

Less than 24 hours before, the appointment can no longer be cancelled online. If something has happened, message me.

Consultations, online or in the studio, are 25 € and are paid in full when you book. If you cancel or do not attend, the fee is kept, like any deposit.

If I cancel your appointment, for any reason within my control, the deposit is yours: back to your card, or towards your next visit, whichever you prefer.

Your 14 day right to cancel an online booking is set out in the booking terms and is not affected by any of this.
